Raymond Lau, DO

Raymond Lau, DO, is an experienced physician bringing nearly two decades of experience to his role at LocalMD. Through his work at the practice, Dr. Lau achieves measurable improvements in the lives of those in his care, including many residents of the Lower Manhattan, New York, and Brooklyn, NY. 

Education has always been important to Dr. Lau. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry at SUNY Stony Brook in New York before moving on to earn his medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury. A residency in family medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital further refined his skills and knowledge. 

Dr. Lau has worked in hospital and private practice settings, including as a medical director for a busy New York City hospital. Over his years in practice, he’s developed an outstanding bedside manner and enjoys working in partnership with those in his care. 

Dr. Lau is passionate about the importance of helping young people learn to take an active role in shaping their health futures. He’s worked as a high school football team physician and helped develop a program that increases awareness of childhood obesity for grade school students.
